Under general supervision, completes various manufacturing operations required by finished products. Tester Packers may be assigned to work for one or more functional groups and may work independently or on cross functional teams. Observe all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment applicable to the use of electrical tooling and equipment, the use of heavy equipment and machinery, and the use of chemicals.
Demonstrates and maintains competency, productivity, and quality levels for available skills in respective department and job function. This is defined by the skills matrix and verified by the Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
Note: Similar or additional skills obtained from other Airmar departments or prior work history may be factored into this requirement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and possesses knowledge of all Test & Pack 1 and 2 duties.
Completes assigned manufacturing processes per documented procedures.
Visually inspects, tests and packs products while maintaining expected quality and efficiency standards with minimum indirect time.
Performs test procedures on Large and Small Lab Tanks (with impedance / gain analyzer), Pressure Tank, Commercial Tank (w/ oscilloscope), Structure Scan, UDST Junction Box, Salt Water Tank & Digital Fish Finder. Able to run all Airmar test systems including but not limited Atlas, F-Test, SMARTS, Test Suite, Mercury, Uniprog, Distilled Water Test, as required.
Performs Bronze/Stainless, Transom Mount, Flange, Smart Sensors, as required.
Reports process deviations or testing issues to Team Lead and/or Supervisors.
Completes required ERP operations and/or paperwork, maintaining accurate inventory counts, test records and other documentation.
Reads, understands, and follows all available documentation including material lists (BOM), work instructions, prints, schedules, customer requirements etc. in the performance of all tasks.
Determines part requirements for scheduled jobs – procuring materials and verifying parts are correct.
Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Dispositions rejected product to appropriate areas as required.
Train other Test & Pack personnel, as required.
Performs other related duties as may be required or directed.
Interacts positively with co-workers and leadership team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent background.
Typically, 1 to 2 years as Tester Packer 2, or comparable work experience.
Able to read, comprehend and follow all documentation.
Ability to interact positively as a team member with coworkers and management.
