JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, independently sets-up and operates one or more pieces of equipment to meet production requirements. Observe all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment applicable to the use of electrical tooling and equipment, the use of heavy equipment and machinery, and the use of chemicals.
Demonstrates and maintains competency, productivity, and quality levels for available skills in respective department and job function. This is defined by the skills matrix and verified by the Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
While in the performance of job requirements, observes all safety regulations including personal protective equipment and guidelines applicable to the use of equipment or machinery when required.
Possesses knowledge of spreadsheets, Bills of Material (BOMs), and inventory status.
Checks inventory levels and customer requirements.
Possesses knowledge of shipping, bill of lading, export documentation and packing lists.
Unloads product from conveyor belt and maintains organized dock area. Stages packed product per customer.
Loads pallets and shrink wraps for pickup.
Aptitude to learn how to operate fork trucks and pallet jacks.
Ability to perform basic IFS shipping functions. (i.e., create shipments, add product to shipments etc.)/li>
Coordinates with sales and / or manufacturing department supervisors / managers on daily shipping schedules.
Maintains paperwork in an organized and efficient manner.
Maintains clean and orderly work area.
Ability to interact positively as a team member with co-workers and supervision.
Performs other related duties as may be required or directed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
0-1 years of comparable work experience.
High school education or equivalent background.
Basic math skills.
Basic computer skills.
Able to read, comprehend and follow all documentation.
Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand while performing duties.
Able to handle periods of heavy work flow.
Good visual acuity, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
