Under general supervision, independently sets-up and operates one or more pieces of equipment to meet production requirements. Observes all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment applicable to the use of electrical tooling and equipment, the use of heavy equipment and machinery, and the use of chemicals.
Demonstrates and maintains competency, productivity, and quality levels on complex machining operations. Operates multiple pieces of equipment in one or more functional areas.
High school education or equivalent background. Typically, 3+ years work experience operating production machinery. High school level math skills. Able to read, comprehend and follow all documentation. Able to use precision measuring instruments such as rulers, digital timers, calipers, micrometers, etc. Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and programmable problems. Able to apply print dimensions to machine programs. Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand while performing duties. Good visual acuity, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
